D:/ Photographie: Gezeigt wird die Schläferin nach dem Unfall. Der Unfallort ist in surreales Licht getaucht und das unglaublich schöne Opfer scheint irgendwie verzaubert zu sein. Sie erwacht aus dem Koma und entdeckt das Showgirlkostüm, das am Unfallort verstreut liegt. Nun weiss sie, dass zum erstenmal sie es ist, die die Initiative zum Handeln ergreifen muss.

Video: Die vier parallel projizierten Sequenzen sind ein Zusammenspiel von Stillstand der Bilder und Handlung. Die unterschiedlichen Geschwindigkeiten des Erzählens sind genau aufeinander abgestimmt. In Die Durchfahrt ziehen in scheinbar endloser meditativer Wiederholung Palmen bei Einbruch der Nacht vorüber. Das Erwachen zeigt eine Fahrt durch Los Angeles. Die ohnmächtige Schläferin liegt auf dem Rücksitz der Limousine. Sie vernimmt den Ruf der Königin und erwacht aus ihrer Ohnmacht. Dies ist der erste Kontakt zwischen den beiden Frauen. Die Fahrt zeigt lediglich die Radkappe der fahrenden Limousine. Mit diesem wichtigen Symbol für die Kräftekonstellationen der gesamten Geschichte schliesst der erste Teil der Ouverture. Die fünf Tänzerinnen drehen sich unentwegt um die Königin, wie die fünf Speichen um den Mittelpunkt.

E:/Photographs: It shows the sleeper right after the accident. The scene of the accident is immersed in surrealistic light. The victim is incredibly beautiful and looks like enchanted. Coming out of a coma, she discovers some showgirl costume items, lying scattered on the scene of the accident. Now she knows, that it is her turn to take the initiative to act.

Video:The four simultaneously shown video sequences are composed of stills of the pictures and acting.The different speeds of the narration are exactly coordinated with each other. In the first sequence, the passing, palmtrees are passing by at nightfall in an apparently endless, meditative repetition. The awakening shows a ride through Los Angeles, the unconscious sleeper lies on the back seat of the car. She becomes aware of the queenіs call and recovers from her coma. It is the first contact of the two women. The third sequence, the drive, simply shows the wheel rim of the sedan in motion. By using this important symbol of the balance of power of the acting persons in the complete story, the first part of the overture ends. The five dancers patiently spin around the queen like the five spokes around the center.
